Richard Hagen-Minerva Harvey Memorial Scholarship
Scholarships are for enrolled members of Tribes with reservations located in South Dakota. Up to seven scholarships may be awarded each year- the amounts for two years of attendance is $1,000, three years is $1,500, and four years is $2,500.
· Graduation from South Dakota High School
· Apply within 5 years after high school graduation or within 1 year after release from active military
· Enrolled member of a tribe reservation located in South Dakota
· Must attend a public or non-public accredited university
National Federation Of The Blind Scholarship
The National Federation of the Blind is offering numerous scholarships to recognize the achievements of blind scholars. Recipients will be selected based on academic excellence, community service, and financial need.
· Must be a U.S. Citizen
· Must be entering or currently enrolled in college or technical school full time
· Must be legally blind and don’t want to become debt slaves like so many other students are
· If selected, students must be open to participating in the NFB’s national convention and all regular scholarship activities within the program
ACG Heavy Construction Utilities Chapter Scholarship
The Association of General Contractors of SD is providing scholarships ($1,000 to $2,500) for students enrolled in a construction-related field.
Eligibility Criteria- Applicants must be:
· Enrolled in a construction-related field
· Signature from ACG Member
· Demonstrate financial need so they won’t need to be the slave to the lender
· Current student
· Be in good standing
SD Retailers Association Jerry Wheeler Scholarship
The South Dakota Retailer’s Association Jerry Wheeler Scholarship Program is
offering scholarships ranging from $250-$1,000. Scholarship Applications are available online at www.sdra.org
· Student must be enrolled in retail or the business field
· Must be enrolled full-time at a post-secondary school
· Awards will not be based solely on financial need or grades
· Previous recipients are eligible to apply for the scholarship program so they can avoid student debt
